2 Days Ephesus Pamukkale Tour From Istanbul
Day 1 - Istanbul to Ephesus
Your journey begins with an early morning flight from Istanbul to Izmir. Upon landing, you'll be ushered to a comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle that will take you to Ephesus, one of the best-preserved ancient cities in the world.
Once in Ephesus, you'll start with a guided tour of the ancient city. Here, you'll explore the Temple of Artemis, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, the Library of Celsus, a beautifully preserved building that was a monumental tomb for Gaius Julius Celsus, and the Great Theatre, the largest in the ancient world.
After the tour, you will head to your hotel for a relaxing evening. You might want to explore the local cuisine at a nearby restaurant.
Day 2 - Pamukkale and Hierapolis
After breakfast at your hotel, you'll board your vehicle and head to Pamukkale, a natural site famous for a carbonate mineral left by flowing water that gives it a snowy appearance.
On arrival, you'll explore the natural wonders of Pamukkale, including the stunning white calcium terraces known as Travertines and the ancient city of Hierapolis.
In Hierapolis, you'll see the ancient Necropolis, a large ancient cemetery with elaborate tomb monuments. You can also take a dip in the Cleopatra Pool (own expense), a warm water spring which was a gift from Mark Antony to Cleopatra.
After the tour, you'll be transported back to the airport for your return flight to Istanbul.
