5 Days Istanbul, Cappadocia, Ephesus Tour
Day 1 - Arrival and Istanbul Tour: Upon arrival at Istanbul Airport, you'll be transferred to your hotel. Once you've checked in and freshened up, your exploration of the city begins. You'll visit the historic Blue Mosque, famous for its beautiful blue Iznik tiles. Next, you'll explore Hagia Sophia, a magnificent Byzantine church turned mosque turned museum. Your next stop will be the Topkapi Palace, the lavish home of Ottoman sultans. Lastly, immerse yourself in the vibrant chaos of the Grand Bazaar, one of the largest and oldest covered markets in the world.
Day 2 - Fly to Cappadocia: An early morning flight takes you to Cappadocia, a region known for its unique landscapes. Upon arrival, you'll start your exploration. Visit the Goreme Open-Air Museum, a UNESCO World Heritage site, featuring rock-carved churches and frescoes. Then, explore the fairy chimneys of Pasabag and the moon-like landscape of Devrent Valley. End the day with a visit to the Kaymakli Underground City, one of the most impressive subterranean settlements in Cappadocia.
Day 3 - More of Cappadocia: The day begins with an optional hot air balloon ride, a must-do in Cappadocia. Afterward, visit the Red Valley, known for its stunning lunar landscape and ancient cave churches. Then head to Cavusin Village, an old Greek village known for its Christian houses of worship. Explore the Pigeon Valley, named after the many pigeon houses carved into the rocks. The day concludes with a tour of an onyx workshop and a traditional pottery workshop in Avanos.
Day 4 - Fly to Izmir, Ephesus Tour: A morning flight will take you to Izmir. Upon arrival, drive to the ancient city of Ephesus, one of the most well-preserved Roman cities in the Mediterranean region. Visit the Temple of Artemis, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Explore the Library of Celsus, an ancient Roman building, and walk through the Terrace Houses, the ancient residences of Ephesus's wealthy citizens.
Day 5 - Izmir to Istanbul and Departure: The morning is free for you to explore Izmir, Turkey's third-largest city known for its ancient Agora and Clock Tower. In the afternoon, you'll catch a flight back to Istanbul. Depending on your departure time, you may have one last chance to stroll through Istanbul's streets before heading to the airport for your departure.
