4 Days Cappadocia, Ephesus
Day 1 – Istanbul – Cappadocia:
Depart from Istanbul by flight to Cappadocia in the morning.
Once you arrive in Cappadocia, your first stop will be at the Göreme Open Air Museum, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Here you will have the chance to see numerous rock-cut churches and monasteries, some of which contain stunning frescoes.
After lunch, you will visit the fairy-tale-esque Devrent Valley, famous for its unique lunar landscape.
Later, you will explore Pasabag Valley, home to some of the most striking fairy chimneys in Cappadocia, with twin and even triple rock caps.
The day will end with a delicious dinner and an overnight stay at a comfortable hotel in Cappadocia.
Day 2 – Cappadocia:
The day will start with an optional hot air balloon ride in the early morning. This is a fantastic opportunity to see the stunning landscapes of Cappadocia from above.
After breakfast, you will visit Kaymakli Underground City, one of the largest and deepest of Cappadocia's many such settlements.
You will then move on to Uchisar Castle, the highest point in Cappadocia, and the Pigeon Valley, known for its pigeon houses carved into cliffs.
The day will end with a second overnight stay in Cappadocia.
Day 3 – Cappadocia – Ephesus:
After an early breakfast, you will depart from Cappadocia by flight to Izmir.
Once in Izmir, you will visit the ancient city of Ephesus, a major Roman city and one of the twelve cities of the Ionian League during the Classical Greek era. Here you will see the Library of Celsus, the Temple of Artemis, and the House of Virgin Mary.
After a day full of history, you will have a pleasant dinner and spend the night in the Ephesus area.
Day 4 – Ephesus – Istanbul:
In the morning, you will visit the Basilica of St. John, an important Byzantine structure, and the Ephesus Archaeological Museum, home to numerous artifacts found in the ancient city.
After lunch, you will depart from Izmir by flight to Istanbul in the afternoon.
Upon arrival in Istanbul, you will be transferred back to your hotel, bringing an end to the tour.
