2 Days Gallipoli, Troy Tour From Istanbul
Day 1: Istanbul to Gallipoli
The tour starts early in the morning from Istanbul. Our guide will pick you up from your hotel and we will begin the journey to Gallipoli, which is approximately a 4-5 hour drive.
Upon arrival at Gallipoli, we will visit the Kabatepe War Museum, which gives an insight into the Gallipoli campaign during World War I. After the museum, we will visit the Anzac Cove, the site of the bloody Battle of Gallipoli.
Next, we will visit the Lone Pine Australian Memorial and the Johnston's Jolly, where you can see the original Allied and Turkish trenches and tunnels.
Our last stop of the day will be Chunuk Bair New Zealand Memorial. After visiting these historical sites, we will check-in at our pre-arranged hotel and have dinner.
Day 2: Gallipoli to Troy to Istanbul
After breakfast at the hotel, we will drive to the ancient city of Troy. Here, we will explore the archaeological site of the city, famous for the Trojan War described in the Iliad by Homer. We will see the replica of the wooden horse and the ancient walls of Troy IX, as well as the House of Troy II, which dates back to 2500 BC.
After lunch, we will continue our tour with a visit to the nearby museum and further explore the ruins.
In the late afternoon, we will begin our journey back to Istanbul. We will arrive in Istanbul in the evening and our guide will drop you at your hotel, concluding our 2-day Gallipoli and Troy tour.
